You’ll build strong technical foundations, understand every step of the ceramic process, and leave with finished pieces you created entirely yourself.
Private. Focused. Tailored to you.
4-Week Private Ceramics Course
Duration: 4 sessions
Frequency: Weekly or bi-weekly (flexible scheduling)
Format: Private course (individual or self-formed group)
Price: €295 (incl. VAT)
Includes materials, glazing, kiln firings.
Advanced courses are priced separately due to increased material and kiln usage.
Week 1 & 2 — Mastering the Wheel
We build a strong technical foundation.
You’ll practice:
Centering clay properly
Pulling walls evenly
Creating height and stability
Controlling symmetry
Developing consistency through repetition
These two sessions are focused entirely on skill-building.
The wheel is about control, and control comes from repetition.
Week 3 — Refining & Finishing
Now we elevate your pieces.
You’ll learn:
Trimming the base correctly
Improving balance and silhouette
Smoothing and refining surfaces
Adding handles or details
Week 4 — Glazing & Decoration
You’ll learn:
How to choose glaze colors intentionally
Which glazes are food safe
How thickness affects results
Different application techniques
How to finish your pieces beautifully
By the end of the course, you will have completed your own fully glazed ceramic work — shaped, trimmed, and decorated by you.
Your Finished Work
At the end of the course, your pieces will be ready.
You’ve shaped them on the wheel, refined them, trimmed the bases, chosen your glazes, and applied the final layers yourself. After the last firing, they come out of the kiln complete — functional, personal, and entirely made by you.
You’ll leave with:
Functional pieces you can use at home
A deeper understanding of the ceramic process
The confidence to continue independently
Technical skills — not just a one-day experience
By this point, you understand the full process: from soft clay to finished ceramic.
A Course That Adapts to You
Because this is a private course, there is no rigid program. I adapt everything to your level and goals.
Want to:
Make your own dinner plates?
Focus only on bowls?
Create a matching dinner set?
Work on height and larger forms?
Improve symmetry?
Embrace a more “wonky” aesthetic intentionally?
We tailor the course around that.
Many beginners struggle with:
Height and size
Keeping pieces symmetrical
Controlling form
These are common challenges, exactly what we work through together.
